for many of us, our typical days encourage a sedentary lifestyle and becoming active take some effort. Hence, the importance to change aspects of your life so they don't support healthy behaviors. It's important to remember that not only are small changes are easier to implement and stick to. Here are some simple steps you can take :

  • take stairs instead of the elevator
  • parked the car at the far end of the parking lot and walk to the store or the office
  • at home : reduce time spent watching TV ; build physical activity into regular routines
  • driving: don't eat in the car. Ever.
  • grocery: read food labels carefully; don't shop when hungry, go armed with a list and don't deviate from it ; if you can't say the ingredient then don't buy it.
  • drink/food: stop drinking soda ; switch to sugar-free drinks. Not all fats are bad, nuts seeds and all of oils can be part of a healthy eating plan.
